Board Mission
The Moxy Foundation is governed by a volunteer working board that upholds the mission and ensures regulatory compliance. Each board member has defined responsibilities and also shares a commitment to promoting diversity within the board.
Program Mission
The Moxy Foundation supports and manages a small but mighty portfolio of programs that advance women+ in data and technology. Each program is led by a volunteer Chair and supported by additional volunteers, with strategic guidance and oversight from our working Board of Directors. This structure allows us to stay agile, mission-focused, and deeply connected to the communities we serve—while creating space for leadership, creativity, and grassroots impact in every initiative we run.
Fundraising Chair

We’re looking for a strategic thinker and relationship-builder to lead our fundraising efforts. In this board-level role, you’ll collaborate with the Gala Chair and future Executive Director to set year-round fundraising strategy, secure sponsorships, support grant applications, and build lasting donor relationships.
You’d be a great fit for this role if…
You’re passionate about making a difference and you’re not afraid to ask for money to support a cause you believe in. Bonus points if you have connections with local philanthropists or folks with big hearts (and big checkbooks). If you’re someone who naturally moves in circles of influence and wants to turn that into impact—this is your lane.
PR Chair

As our PR Chair, you’ll shape the public image of The Moxy Foundation. You’ll be the strategic mind behind our communications—pitching stories, crafting campaigns, and promoting events and programs that spotlight women+ in data and tech.
You’d be a great fit for this role if…
You’re a communications pro who knows how to build buzz and get people talking. Maybe you’ve got connections with local media or you’re a bit of a local celeb yourself (hey, no shame). If you’ve ever said, “I know a person at [insert news outlet here]…”—you’re already ahead of the game.
Volunteer Coordinator

This role is perfect for someone who loves working with people and wants to create a welcoming, inclusive volunteer experience. You’ll help recruit, onboard, and track volunteers across all Moxy Foundation initiatives—from one-night events to long-term programs.

You’ve got a knack for organizing humans, you’re approachable and responsive, and you like making people feel like they’re part of something meaningful. You’re the person who remembers names, follows up quickly, and makes everyone feel like they belong.
Sistech Chair

Empower the next wave of women+ in data and tech.
Sistech is our workforce development and community-building program. We’re looking for a program leader with the vision to reimagine and relaunch this effort. You’ll plan large educational events and workshops, curate relevant and inspiring speakers, set thoughtful agendas, manage a budget, and bring a powerful program to life.

You’ve run conferences, workshops, or large community events—and you know how to keep things impactful, well-paced, and on budget. You’ve got an eye for curating content and speakers, and you care deeply about creating inclusive, career-boosting experiences for women+ in data and tech.
Vice Chair

Help lead the movement.
We’re looking for a calm, confident, mission-driven leader to step into the role of Vice Chair. As second-in-command of the board, you’ll support the Chair, help guide board operations, set meeting agendas, and serve as a key liaison between board members, volunteers, and program leaders. This role is ideal for someone with big-picture vision and a commitment to shared leadership—not someone who just wants a title.
You’d be a great fit for this role if…
You’re deeply aligned with our mission to support and elevate women+ in data and tech—and you’re ready to back that up with action. You’re steady under pressure, naturally collaborative, and have experience working with or serving on nonprofit boards. You think strategically, communicate clearly, and know how to balance humility with leadership.
This role will be selected very intentionally.
We’re not in a rush. We’re looking for someone who brings both heart and backbone to the table—someone who can help us grow with integrity, stability, and purpose.
